06:30 – Departure from Sunny Beach.

Our journey begins towards Plovdiv, Bulgaria’s second-largest city and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe. With a history spanning more than 8,000 years, Plovdiv is beautifully situated along the banks of the Maritsa River and built upon seven hills, which remain among its most recognizable landmarks.

Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walking tour through the charming Old Town of Plovdiv. During the tour you will discover:

• The Ancient Roman Theatre – one of the best-preserved Roman theatres in the world
• The Roman Stadium
• The Ethnographic Museum
• Beautiful Bulgarian Revival houses
• The Church of St. Constantine and Helena
• The picturesque cobbled streets of the Old Town

After the guided tour, enjoy free time for lunch, shopping, or exploring the lively pedestrian centre of the city.

In the afternoon, we continue to Bachkovo Monastery, the second-largest and one of the most important Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Bulgaria. Founded in the 11th century and nestled in the beautiful Rhodope Mountains, the monastery is a major spiritual and cultural landmark.

During your visit you will see:

• The main Church of the Holy Virgin
• Magnificent medieval frescoes
• Peaceful monastery courtyards and galleries
• The miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary "Troeruchitsa" (The Three-Handed Virgin), visited by thousands of pilgrims every year

Free time for personal exploration, prayer, souvenir shopping, or tasting local monastery products.

16:00 – Departure for the Black Sea Coast.

Return to Sunny Beach in the evening.
